Air drying is by far the easiest and cheapest way of drying flowers including roses. It is straightforward; all you have to do is follow these easy instructions.
1. Start with perfect and unflawed roses on their stems. If the roses are not in perfect condition, they will wither and the petals will fall off.
2. Remove all leaves that may be on the branches.
3. Bunch them up together in a manner that allows them fan out.
4. Tie the bottom with a rubber band or string.
5. Hang them upside down in a dark, dry place for two to three weeks to be certain that they are absolutely dry.

Turning roses into pot pourri is a simple and rewarding process that gives off a delicious fragrance that lasts for weeks.
All you have to do is follow the air dry method that is listed above. Once the roses are dried, simply take the blooms and separate them. You can put the shreds in a nice porcelain container, or a sealed piece of hosiery.

And pot pourri makes an excellent gift – especially when it’s as personal as something from your own garden.
