A lot of parents, rather than doing something to remedy the situation, simply bemoan the untidy habits of their kids. The fact is that good habits can be taught to kids. If you can impart these habits to your children, their bedroom will tend to look good without your input to constantly remind them to clean up. Here are a few ideas to get you started on instructing your kids acceptable organizational habits and eliminating you from having to dig through a pile of clothes to find anything in their bedrooms.
1.Pick up with your children.
Do not require your kids to do something that you yourself will not do kids do have a built in idea of fairness and will point it out. Making cleaning a family function can make it feel more of a pleasurable activity. Getting the whole family involved and incorporate a reward of some kind movie or game time; anything | something [/spin] that will motivate your kids and be fun for the entire family. This will make your kids think of cleaning as something which can be fun.
2.Timed cleaning
One technique that can be very effective is to give your kids a set time to do their cleaning, rather than simply telling them to pick up their entire room at one time. This can overwhelm young kids and be unproductive. Try setting a time and instructing your kids that they need to clean their room for five minutes.
3.Everything in its place
If you wantyour kids to be tidy, you are going to have to make sure that there are places like wall hooks for them to put their things. Make a designated spot to put all of their things: toys, clothes, books and so on. Give your kids storage bins which can be stored under their bed. Make a coat racks available for your kids to hang things on. Remember, you are going to have to make it possible for your kids to organize.
4. Making the bed
A messy bed will give an entire bedroom a cluttered look. Make sure that bed making is a habit taught to your kids at the earliest possible age. A bed which is made improves the look of a bedroom.
Remember as you try to impart these good cleaning habits to your kids that some kids will have an easier time of it than others. You may want to have a special contemporary coat racks for each kid, after all, some people are normally tidy and others must make an effort towards being organized. However, teaching these behaviors to become habits at a young age will give your kids a good start at being an organized adult.
