My Love of Antique Grandfather Clocks

I’ve always appreciated the grandeur and elegance of antique grandfather clocks. Growing up in the old South, these magnificent beauties were commonplace in most of my friends’ homes, so I was introduced to many different varieties and styles. As a child, I promised myself I would always have an antique grandfather clock in my apartment or home when I grew up so my children could enjoy these masterpieces as much as I did. When I first moved in a place of my own, I wasn’t able to fulfill the promise I made to myself. I had no idea how expensive antique grandfather clocks were to purchase!

So as a young adult, I lived in many different places without having the comforting presence of one of these magnificent treasures to remind me of home. After a while I got used to the situation, but I always felt like my home wasn’t complete. I resolved to buy an authentic antique grandfather clock as soon as I emerged from the financial hole I was in.
