I’ve always appreciated the grandeur and elegance of antique grandfather clocks. Growing up in the old South, these magnificent beauties were commonplace in most of my friends’ homes, so I was introduced to many different varieties and styles. As a child, I promised myself I would always have an antique grandfather clock in my apartment or home when I grew up so my children could enjoy these masterpieces as much as I did. When I first moved in a place of my own, I wasn’t able to fulfill the promise I made to myself. I had no idea how expensive antique grandfather clocks were to purchase!

So as a young adult, I lived in many different places without having the comforting presence of one of these magnificent treasures to remind me of home.
