Patio Furniture

My brother and his wife recently completed installing a deck in theirgarden. They also added access from their dining area via a patio door. The deck is great and is preety big extending around the side of the house. The garden is east facing and area at the side of the house is on the north side of the house. Because of this they get a great combination of sun and shade at different times of the day. My brothers wife asked me to help her shop for some Patio Furniture.
She was hoping to find at least two lounge chairs for the sunny side of the patio. Her whole family are really into sun worshipping!. For the area of the deck that is predominately in the shade the idea was to get a table and chairs for relaxing on the days too hot for sunbathing. Her husband like many men is completely anti shopping and his only suggestion was that the patio furniture would be easy to store without taking up too much space in the winter.

The first place we tried was a local landscape gardening and home products store. They had some beautiful products but mainly specialized in garden benches, fountains and other garden accessories so we weren't going to find the kind of patio furniture we wanted here. Our next port of call was a major discount superstore. This was definitely the right place.
They had a great variety of patio furniture for us to choose from. The other great thing was that the majority of the nicer furniture came with two year warranties. We eventually decided on a glass topped oval shaped table that came with six chairs. The chairs had removable pads which is a great idea as it helps prolong the life of the fabric, protecting them from the harsh sun as well as rain. We also found an outdoor deacon bench to place on the deck which would be an ideal place to store the chair cushions as well as providing additional seating on the deck. So the only patio furniture that we needed to find was the lounge chairs.
I actually thought that the lounge chairs would be the easiest patio furniture to find. However she had different ideas! There were several folding chairs, however she wanted something that was more comfortable and also sturdy. We found they had lounge chairs that were made of wood and had a range of reclining positions. They had padded cushions which were very comfortable so she bought two and we were done. Not actually sure how much I helped!.
